The 3rd pay day yes!!!!!!!!

The work week was alright. Mr. Jaccobs Showed us A power Ten presentation. where a satellite uses the power of ten to zoom in to something like a leaf's DNA and zoom out to different uniforms. WE watched a lot of movies this week. My favorite movie was the astronaut framer. It was about a farmer who wanted to fly out to space, but the government wouldn't let him and when he finally blasted of into space the government did not believe it.

This weekend is going to be boring and fun. It is going to be fun because I am going to the fair on Saturday with this boy named Timothy and on Sunday I am going to work at the crew stadium for a fundraiser with my allstar team. It is going to be boring because I am getting kinky twist today and it is going to take about six hours.

After this program I plan to do the same old same old cheerleading and going to school. I will miss the Assistive technology we learned about. I will also miss my Best Friend Markese. I will miss everybody in this program.

My Weekend

My weekend was a little different than usual. I had fun on Saturday but I was in pain on Sunday and I still am.On Saturday I went to cheerleading practice and I think God sent an angel to the Columbus Fyinest Xculsive Allstar gym. I say this because everybody showed up for practice, we actually had a productive practice. After practice I went to a former cheerleader Erick Blade's graduation party. I didn't stay long because I was going to the fair.

On Sunday I went to privates. Privates are an tumbling session with a coach for an hour. I am doing privates because I want to do individual. Individuals are an performance when a cheerleader performs by theirseleves. I went home and did laundry. I did not attend the parent team practice, but my mom went.

My Role Model

My Role Model is my late grandma Bernadine Charles. She was born on September 19Th, 1939 and she passed on October 22ND, 2005.She is my role model because she was a very Strong woman who raised six kids in her Virgin Island home in St.Croix.She had her head in the right direction she made sure her kids were in church every Sunday. My grandma is my role model because she set goals and achieved them. She made sure her kids were brought up right and were taught home training. Virgin Island mother don't take any mess.

The vark questionnare was a series of questions that could have one to four answers. You answer the question what ever best describes you. My visual results was an six. My aural results were also an six. The results for reading and writing was a five. the test told me that my best learning style was kinesthetic I got an seven. I did not agree with the test because I am a very visual person. The website was www.ideal-group.org

The next website that Steve showed us was www.songfacts.com. It had artist from these days songs on there and who the got the inspiration from as well as song biting. Over The Weekend

This weekend was OK, I had a fun experience though. On Friday I went to driving classes and I missed the test by two points,just because I can be distracted easily. One of the instructors kept talking to me and I was accidentally skipping questions that I didn't even read. So he is the reason why I failed, but I get to take the test over today. My friend passed with a 75% that was the lowest score. I look at it this way I passed the most important test of all the OGT and she didn't.

On Saturday I went to practice. This practice was not as productive as the practice from Tuesday. When I got home I changed my clothes and went to sleep. When I woke up I went to the crew stadium because my allstar team was doing a fundraiser. I worked in the kitchen. My friend Jerrica and I went made hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, chicken, and fries. Although The Crew lost 3 to 1 I had a fun time.


On Sunday, No I didn't go to the parent team practice at my allstar team. I did clean the house though. After my mom made dinner she picked up her boyfriend and his daughter and we went to Magic Mountain.We went played golf simply because I was Paying for it. My mom won, her boyfriend came in second, his daughter and I tied, and my brother was last. So my weekend was OK I guess, how was yours?

2nd PAYWEEK

This week at J.Ashburn youth center was alright. On Monday we got in to our groups so that we can work on our projects. My group is called Whitley and Associates Law Firm. Kaprisha and I worked on the Civil Rights Act of 1945, Whitley worked on IDEA, and Brandon and Eric worked on ADA.

On Tuesday Whitley started our power point presentation while me and Kaprisha typed out our Civil Rights Act information. Brandon got kicked out so he didn't start his and Eric didn't come to work.Tuesday was not a very good day, everyone was getting kicked out for little stuff.

On Wednesday Mr. Jacobs showed as beep baseball games on you tube. Beep baseball is a game that blind people play. The ball beeps as well as the bases.On Thursday we took a tabe test it was oh so easy. Then we talked about how we felt about the Program, the rules and guidelines.Today, Friday is PAY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over The Weekend

This weekend was alright I guess. When I woke up on Saturday I was sure to fully clean the house. Then I went to cheerleading practice. I was mad because no one was there and we suck right now. After practice I went to WTP family reunion.

On Sunday I didn't really do anything. I went with my mom and little brother to buy his football gear. Then we went to the team car wash. Then I went with my mom to her practice. When I went home I ate meatloaf, potatoes,and broccoli.

The 4th week

This week was the worst week possible. Just because I was so sick. I did learn something very helpful though. On Wednesday Mr.Steven came to our job and brought a student from The Ohio State University of the blind. She showed us an computer that has AT. The Katie was albino and she had little eye sight.


Yesterday I was so sick I could not even tell you what we did. I felt like someone was trying to kill me. It was not a good feeling. Today we took math classes and worked in groups. I helped the disabled kids. It's always fun to know that you can teach them something and they actual get it.

The Weekend and Group Work @ Work!!!!

This weekend was cool I guess. On Saturday I went to cheerleading practice for a hour and a half. Practice was fun we got a lot accomplished.Then I went to see the preview of HAIRSPRAY. I didn't want to go see the movie but it was a very good movie, although there was to much singing. Then I went to go see 1408 after cheerleading practice. That movie was so dumb I can't believe I spent seven dollars and fifty cents on that movie.

On Sunday I stayed in the house all day. Leon tried to get me to come to Northern Lights with him but I just did not want to go at all. Not because he asked just because I was being lazy. At six o'clock I went to my allstar gym because my mom is on the parent team. Yesterday was their first practice it was so funny to see all of the grandma's get out there and try to shake it!!!

Today on July 16Th, 2007 we worked in groups to complete an assignment. It was cool I was in a group with Will, Kaprisha, Ciara, and Chardel. Chardel and I worked on the first assignment and Kaprisha and Ciara did the other assignment. Will got kicked out because he was on a diffrent website than the group, so his pay is going to be short an hour.

Pay Week

Today is Friday the 13Th our first payday at the youth center. I am so excited to finally to receive my first two week pay check. Even though I am very sore from so cheerleading camp but i decided to pull it together and get to work just because I knew everyone missed me,I had to, and it was payday.

Cheerleading camp was fun we had a lot of things to accomplish that didn't get accomplished. We didn't do so good this was the worst camp beechcroft has ever had since I've been cheering there. We made friends with a team in Akron.The prank that the seniors did was really lame, they got everybody into this small room talking about we were going to practice since two of our girls had to get pulled out at the last minute due to injures. Then they threw water balloons at us that wouldn't even burst.

With my pay check I plan to put a hundred dollars on my bank card. Then i plan to spend the rest on clothes for the summer and school. This weekend I am going shopping for the summer as well as starting my driving classes. I'm excited to start those classes and go shopping because I need some new clothes.

THE SECOND WORK WEEK

During the work week we learn about a lot of different things. We learned a lot about our professions and the amount of money we might make my profession was a accountant and i would probably be able to make 55,000 dollars a year.I am going to Thee Ohio State University. Then on Tuesday we found out what type of car, house we would have. Then we guess on how much we would spend on gas entertainment, clothes, and shoes.

Yesterday on Thursday July 5, 2007 we went on a website about engineering. We learned about the diffrent types of engineers there are ocean engineers, civil engineers, and chemical engineers just to name a few. Then we learned about diffrent types of transportation futurtsitics.Today we learned about computer programming. We learned what C means it means computer programming language The langaugeis called compiled language. We also learn what two things variables have they have names and types.

On July 4th, 2007 I spent time with my twenty-two year old brother that I just seen for the first time on July 1st,2007. i was excitied to finally meet him and spend time with him and my dad even though my twenty year old sister that I never seen before either did not come I am glad to spend time with my brother becuase it easy to get along with it feels like i new him forever!!

MY WEEKEND/BACK 2 WORK

On Sunday, July1, 2007 I met my older brother Edward Crutcher for the first time. I was not nervous about meeting him but, excited. Although he was nothing I expected I was happy that i finally got to meet him. I was not able to meet my sister because she was to busy with work. The bad news with my weekend was that my last grandparent, my grandmother on my father's side was in the hospital. I couldn't go see her today because I have to be at work.

Today work was very helpful because the instructors had us find out what our college expericence would be like and when we graduated what our salary would be like. I want to be an accoutant, i am going to the ohio state university. I have a total of 44 hours my freshmen year.

June 29,2007 at J.Ashburn

Today at St.Paul, J.Ashburn youth center we had math class we took a test in math class over fractions the test was very easy The website we took the test on was http://www.math.com/ . Every body in my math group got 100 percent on the test.

After our first break we learn how to set up an account at http://www.secondlife.org/. Second life is a virtual website where you can visit diffrent worlds and buy and sell property and talk to diffrenet people around the world like in China, Africa, and Canada. although we did'nt get to enter the virtual world we are all interested to see what it is like.

When the next break was over we learned about a website http://www.cybercareer.com/. This website showed us the diffrent things you can do in IT or information technology. We took a survey to see what position we would like to do in IT. I learned about a web developer. The web developer is the person who designs the website.

J.Ashburn youth center

During the summer of 2007 I was granted the opportunity to work at the J.Ashburn Youth Center. The program is located at the St.Paul Church 112 Jefferson rd. The Tech Corp program is there to teach youth about IT (information technology) and AT (assistance technology), as well as making sure we have math and english classes.


On Tuesday, June 27, 2007 Mr.Steve Jacobs came to our job to teach my coworkers and I about AT. He told us about how people with disabilites (deaf, blind, etc) use technology such as computers, telephones, and wristwatches. We were all interested in the different ways that the disabled were able to use technology.


Mr.Steve showed websites that the disabled used like musicovery.com, this website helps blind people learn how to make shapes by the tone that the lines make. He also showed us how the blind people can use AT with a computer that describes what is on the screen.


Mr.Steve also showed us websites like dreamlines where you type a subject and the website draws the image absractally. Another website called touchscreen.com that shows which websites orianate from which. You should join some of these websites out the are really interesting.
